Chance Hotel - Taichung

Nice place with great wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and comfortable air conditioning. On my first stay, the staff helped me find places to eat, and another staff member was really good. I highly recommend it for a romantic escape.

The total stay was warm at my last visit. Booked standard twin room, that included coffee facilities and an extra bed. The location was great and perfect, a 10-15 minute walking distance from Taiwan Sun Cake Museum. You could walk to a mini mart and a convenience shop.

Nice cosy units except for a safe. Perfect and exceptionally nice location for Taichung, short walk to railway station and City Inn. Again, not far from Shin Sei Green Waterway.

perfect base for exploring city parks and attractions

During my stay, I found it convenient being just a few steps from Shin Sei Green Waterway, where I enjoyed a peaceful walk and beautiful views, while the nearby Taroko Mall and tasty local eateries like Gao Jia Noodle made dining and shopping so easy.

Loved a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a refrigerator and coffee/tea making equipment in the room. Location: the hotel was so close to railway station and other transport and Feng Jia night market and Zhong yi street which is very convenient. Had nice dainties at Singfa Ting Ice, located around 4-6 minutes away by foot from the property.

The air conditioning was as old as my grandmother, and boy was it noisy! It was a challenge just trying to get a peaceful night's sleep. To make matters worse, the staff had the audacity to not offer any kind of complimentary gesture for this inconvenience. I almost considered leaving a good review, but just couldn't.

Clean room with a cozy atmosphere. The shower was uncomfortably small.

The room size was sufficient and provided a lovely view of the city lights at night. I appreciated the comfortable bed and pillows, made for a restful night. The breakfast buffet offered an excellent variety, and the staff were both cute and quick to refill items.

The location was super convenient, just a few minutes from the train station. The room was cozy, clean, and had all the essentials.

This place was a well-suited match for a short stint in Taichung with excellent value for money. The clean shower area and toilet were a pleasant surprise. Keep an eye out for nearby food stalls. They're delicious.

Location is excellent, right by the train station and a short walk to Taichung's Second Wet Market, perfect for trying local breakfast. The amenities are basic, and the bed was a bit too soft for my liking, but overall it's a solid choice for a short stay.

Conveniently located near the train station. The breakfast options were enjoyable, particularly the pancake platter. The room lacked soundproofing, as conversations from neighboring rooms were audible, and the shower space felt cramped. The room's age was noticeable, with some amenities showing signs of wear.
